Concept2 SkiErgs, Replacement Flywheels, Available Directly from Concept 2

Concept2 does not list replacement flywheels for sale to fit the SkiErg models on their website. This is because there can be many reasons a person thinks the flywheel needs to be replaced and there are equal reasons why the flywheel should not be replaced.

Concept 2 wants to discuss the issue with the customer before supplying a flywheel. These machines have a 5 year parts warranty, and it is likely the flywheel is covered by this warranty. Concept2 will handle parts warranties directly.

If the customer is reporting slippage or loss of resistance, this can be related to the temperature of the space and/or the SkiErg. Instances that the temperature is below 45-50 degrees, can result in this symptom of slipping or loss of resistance. Once the temperature of the space or SkiErg warms up, above 45-50 degrees, the flywheel is fine, and the slippage or loss of resistance is no longer an issue.

Sportsmith will not offer the flywheels for the SkiErgs due to this feedback from Concept 2 regarding pricing and availability of SkiErg flywheels. 

If you have a customer inquiring about a flywheel for a SkiErg, you can inquire about the complaint and share the details about the temperature in the event the complaint is a loss of resistance or slippage. 

Otherwise, you will need to direct the customer to Concept2.
