Cybex Classic Strength Cables
Classic Cables
Cybex Classic strength cables are designated as Old Style and New Style. Old Style cables are secured to the top plate with set screws. New Style cables are secured to the top plate with a roll pin.
The date of manufacture determines between Old Style and New Style. Old Style runs through 1988 with the exception of F06 and F12. Give care to machines made between June and Dec of 1988, as they may need the New Style.
The letter in the Classic serial number determines the year of manufacture. The number determines the month.
B=1984, C=1985, D=1986, E=1987, F=1988, G = 1989, H=1990, I=1991, J=1992, K=1993, L=1994, Etc.
An Old Style serial number example is 4000M02D123. This Old Style unit was made in February of 1986.
A New Style serial number example is 4000L12345. This New Style unit was made between April and May of 1994.
