Precor Treadmills, Drive Belt, 10214101 vs 10214103, 280J10 Poly-V Belt vs 740J10 Flexonic Belt

Throughout the production of some Precor treadmill models, they have switched between two different drive belts. Models affected by this drive belt change include the TRM 800-14, TRM 800-18, TRM 600-18, and TRM700-16.  

When Precor changes the drive belt they offer for these machines, they update the available part number they list for the drive belt. 

In early production of the affected treadmill models, Precor listed their part number PPP000000010214101. Precor describes this part number as BELT, DRIVE, 280J10 POLY V.  

As of June 2024, Precor switched the belt they listed. They updated to an alternate part number. Precor was listing the part number PPP000000010214103 instead of the previously listed part number PPP000000010214101. Precor described this alternate part number, PPP000000010214103, as BELT, DRIVE, 740J10 POLY V. During this time, the available drive belt for the affected models was the Precor part number 10214103.

Precor made another change in May 2025. Precor no longer lists the drive belt, part number 10214103, for the affected models. Instead, they are once again listing the drive belt, part number 10214101. The part number 10214103 is no longer listed.  

Based on historical records, the drive belt part number listed for the affected models may change again. Precor could once again list the drive belt part number PPP000000010214103 BELT, DRIVE, 740J10 POLY V in place of the drive belt part number PPP000000010214101, BELT, DRIVE, 280J10 POLY V.

As a result of Precor swapping between the two different drive belts, their part numbers PPP000000010214101 and PPP000000010214103, you may have either one on your machine. This is based on the date the machine was manufactured and/or the service history of the treadmill.

The serial number of your unit will not designate or determine the drive belt on the machine. You must know the belt on the machine to get the correct replacement. It is not recommended to replace 10214103 with a 10214101 or vice versa.

Due to feedback from the field, issues have developed with folks replacing a 10214101 belt with a 10214103 and vice versa.

We have learned that you must replace the drive belt with the same drive belt that is currently on the machine. Again, your serial number will not determine which belt is correct. A physical inspection is required.
