StairMaster Stepmill: No Display
Steps to diagnose and fix a StairMaster Stepmill that has no display output.
Symptom
The StairMaster powers on (indicator lights may be visible) but the console display is blank.
Cause
- Loose ribbon cable between the console and display board
- Failed display board
- Console firmware corruption
Fix
- Reseat the ribbon cable — Remove the console cover and reseat the flat ribbon cable connecting the display.
- Inspect for corrosion — Check connector pins for corrosion or damage.
- Replace the display board — If the cable is good, the display board may need replacement.
